Vitamin F (Essential Fatty Acids)
(Uses):   In the body, there are two essential fatty acids which the body does not manufacture;  Linoleic and
linolenic acids.  The EFA's are important for cell and organ respiration,  regulation of cholesterol, supporting the
thyroid and adreanal gland functions, and adding resiliency and lubrication to tissues.

(Deficiency):  Can reduce lubrication to skin and joints, and may contribute to acne, anorexia nervosa, diarrhea,
dry skin, eczema, gallstones, hyperactivity, multiple sclerosis, and slow growth and wound healing.

(Food Sources):  evening primrose oil, grape seed oil, flaxseed oil, and oils of grains, nuts and seeds, such as
soybean, walnuts, sesame, and sunflower.

(RDA):  Required in amounts equal to at least 2% of caloric intake; 1-2 tsps per day depending on body weight.

(Assimilation):  combine with Vitamins B3, B6, C and E for maximum benefit and make sure zinc, magnesium and
selenium are available.
